I love these pictures. There is a whole photo shoot of these; she's playing in the crib while we play on the floor nearby playing with Legos. The crib is one of the safe places in the kids rooms - away from the small toys and stairs. It is lucky for me she doesn't mind being in the crib while we are outside on the floor together building things. She has found her own fun inside: falling down face first on the pillows and blankets, dropping things out, watching her shadow on the wall. At one point earlier in motherhood I would have felt like I was the one who needed to entertain this little person. Now I know how very well they entertain themselves.
