A few Friday's ago, C and I drove into downtown in Charlotte Amalie for the "Miracle on Main Street" Christmas event. Main street is closed down to cars, the shops are all open, the craft market is in full swing and there is a boat parade on the water front. Its a beautiful evening, warm, colorful, sparkly and loud with steel pan drums. Our favorite carol was from the Sound of Music "a few of my favorite things". Not many tourists attend, its mainly a local affair, a time to visit and get into the holiday spirit.
