This bike hasn't seen a rider since we removed the training wheels. That was last summer and a push too soon for this guy who has his own mind about things (as he should). He resisted and ignored the bike forever. Not wanting to push any more than we already had we let him lead, figuring he would ride when ready. Then this winter we found a balance bike, sort of like the Skuut brand and he was feeling really comfortable riding on that - coasting an entire block with his feet off the ground. Tonight he asked to ride his bike to karate. Ride he did.
He had a big ole smile going, with repeat laps around the block and a few neighbors cheering on the big event.
