Jumping from the the lifeguard towers
The water was very cold this year. We had only a few dips into the lake.
One word best describes how we entertain ourselves in Michigan: SAND. Every outing involves sand as a prop. We dig in it, crawl in it, walk in it, lay on it, track it places, make castles out of it, eat it. The sand is very fine and very light colored. We call it sugar bottom sand - because when it coats the bottom of a baby their bottom look like a sugar coated donut!
