Our project is finally complete. Well at least the contractor part of it. Now it is time for us to do the planting and building of a shed. We celebrated this evening with a picnic outside and a fire for marshmallows. It looks great but sterile. I do miss the old trees but soon enough we'll have some others planted and maybe some serious shade in a few years.
This is sorta an experiement. Its a kids play area with playground bark, larger rocks and some stumps from the old cherry tree we took down. We also opted not to put in the patio or deck and left the area with a really fine gravel which seems to be working out pretty well.
This is from the street. Lots of space to plant....that is - lots of planting to do.
