Port Townsend is the best day trip from the Kitsap Pennisula. It could also be a great weekend trip given that the campgrounds in the area are amazing. But for the day Fort Worden in Port Townsend has it all: beaches, old forts for testing courage, woods, walks, an aquarium, and generally sunshine.
