dance recital

Our end of the year recital this year was amazing. I really think this dance instructor does a wonderful job. The girls at all levels practice only once a week for a particular class and then they have only two rehearsals on the stage. And yet the performance is so entertaining.  For our girls their number was "Under the Sea" from the little mermaid, which of course was our favorite dance. However, if you were to ask me what my second favorite was it might be the "Pirates of the Caribbean" or "Monster Mash Up". The show was so good, that the grumpy-that-afternoon-about-going- C brightened up and declared that he LOVED the whole thing.  There was smoke, neon lights, salsa dancing, pirates, guitar players and 3 year old girls fluttering around like little birds (and waving to and kissing the crowd). So much fun. At the moment I'm trying to find one of the songs that the Jazz Fusion & Latin group danced to: Merengue Moves. It might be a good one to add to the family-dance repertoire.
