snow

A small amount of snow for Michigan I am told, but just the right amount for us. Each time the kids have to learn how to get on their gear and then once outside, how to listen to their body signals so that they don't get so cold they break down completely and cannot get inside (this happened a  few times each of them). The woods across the street were one place to play, the iced over puddles on the lakeshore were another. Of the two I preferred walking in the woods protected from the wind. I also had a mission to get a snowflake picture which isn't as difficult as it may seem. Yes they have six sides!  I used a black styrofoam tray from the recycling bin this time but would prefer a piece of glass, or black felt to reduce the glare from the ambient light.
