baby reindeer

While having a picnic in the backyard the girls were running around and started yelling: "look a baby reindeer." Being somewhat distracted and not really listening, I realized after their pitched changed and their pointing was with emphasis, I went over to take a look at what the fuss was about. Sure enough in the iris patch was a fawn, resting while his mother was out looking for food. He stayed there for an hour or so and ran off into the woods (hopefully in response to a call from his mother but we are unsure why he left.) The next day B was found lying in that same spot, pretending to be a baby deer.
