Early in the morning today on the canal we were eating breakfast and some little river otters were frolicking in the water near the bulkhead. I surprised this little gal by hiding behind the boathouse waiting for her to cross in front of me so I could get a shot. I surprised her, but she also surprised me. At one point she was so close I thought she would swim right up to my boot but at the last moment she reared up and swam away.
